A Civil War identification disc (dog tag) unlocks the story of a forgotten Indiana soldier who served in the "Bloody Ninth" Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment.

Pvt. Bickel's I.D. tag was found and bought in May of 2004 at a family estate sale in Indiana. Tag was spotted in a shadow box of Bickel family militaria (Civil War, Span-Am War & WW I) while in the company of my friend, the Dutchman of House of Karlina fame.
